We’re grateful for everything that happened last year, and we’re so excited to see how our practice continues to grow in 2020. We’re kicking off the new year with a lot of exciting news – here’s a little look at what’s happening in January.
We are so excited to kick off a brand new year! 2019 was an amazing year for our practice. We added new office locations across Florida, we welcomed new providers, and we shared so many great memories with our patients. We’re grateful for everything that happened last year, and we’re so excited to see how our practice continues to grow in 2020. We’re kicking off the new year with a lot of exciting news – here’s a little look at what’s happening in January.
A Message From Dr. V
Dear Patients,
I was inspired to study medicine by my mother, who suffered from a stomach ulcer in the early 70’s, and my grand-mother, who suffered from gastrointestinal cancer. My mother had surgery to treat the gastric ulcer in 1974, a condition that is now treated with just a few days of antibiotic. Her story has helped lead me in the fight against cancer.
At Academic Alliance in Dermatology, we focus on the early diagnosis of melanoma and other skin cancers. We want to prevent metastatic melanoma disease and protect our patients from the complications of complex surgeries and systemic chemo-therapy where possible. Our goal is that a razor thin biopsy will diagnose and eliminate melanomas before they can spread.
Throughout our quest to control skin cancer, let us keep in mind that challenging the dogmas and stimulating our imagination is an integral part of innovation and creation of the future. We imagine and innovate every day; sometimes with our hands and sometimes with our brains, but always with our hearts and souls, having our patients, you, always in mind.

Bealie Lucero is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse from Manila, Philippines. Ms. Lucero earned an Associate’s Degree in Nursing at AdventHealth University.
